WHAT DID GOD TELL YOU TODAY ?

I’d like to talk with you about something I truly enjoy every day: my fellowship with God. I’m not referring to attending a religious building or participating in a religious ceremony, but rather a daily, personal relationship with Him.

Do you know that our number one purpose in life is fellowship with Him? Our number one purpose! It is the most important thing we can do—what He created us for.

And everything in your life will flow from this fellowship with Him: your faith for every challenge life brings, your vision for the future, your joy and peace, wisdom, love for others, including forgiveness—everything !

I am going ask you a question : what has God said to you today ? Hearing from Him comes from a daily walk with Him. God is always speaking and you need to tune your spiritual ears to Him and expect to hear from Him on a daily basis.

Maybe He told you to say a kind word to that person who looks discouraged…. Maybe He showed you the solution in a complicated situation or a better way to organize your day… or you felt His love and care during a walk in the warm sunshine…

We often see ourselves as unworthy or guilty, constantly trying to earn His approval.  Some people even believe they cannot speak directly to God and think they need someone to act as a mediator between them and God.

But the Lord told us John 15.15. « I no longer call you servants...  Instead, I have called you friends. »

It may be hard for a religious mindset to grasp, but the Lord calls you His friend. God wants to interact with you; He wants to be your friend. This is not sacrilegious! It does not diminish His Lordship or His authority—rather, it brings you into a place of intimacy that mere religion cannot give you.

« I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. »  John 15.5.

A branch on an apple tree will bear apples providing that it remains in the tree. People will come and pick apples from that branch because it is thriving. But if the branch is cut off from the tree, it will wither and die, and it will no longer produce any fruit, because it is separated from its source.

Fellowship with God is our source, and apart from this fellowship, we can do nothing. Yes, we can act in our own strength, but the results will not be the same.

Your number one calling in life is fellowship with the Lord. Try it, and you will enter another level of life.

I simply talk to God the way I would talk to a person. He is my heavenly Father. I respect Him, I worship Him. « Father, I don’t understand this. Father, please help me with that problem. Thank You for Your many blessings… » And I also expect to hear from Him.

Begin to walk and talk with Him, and expect things to change in your life. Let’s get out of the religious rut and step into a living relationship.

It can happen everyday if you value it. Pursue what you value, find time for relationship with Him.

Psalm 23.6 : Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life ; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

God is speaking 24/7, He is always on. The problem is that we are not always plugged in.

This is the key to a victorious life.  Are you plugged in to the source ? Is God your friend ? Are you walking and talking with Him ?

What did He tell you today ?
